Finding purpose

If you don't feel fulfilled by or happy with your life, it may be a case that you are lacking any purpose in your life. While connecting with our life purpose can be a challenging self-examination, it is a sure way to help you create a life that is meaningful and happy. Find your life’s purpose, then take action to implement the kind of life you really want to live.

Your life purpose is the reasons you get up each morning.

Purpose can be thought of like a compass or a road map, guiding life decisions, influencing behaviour, shaping goals and giving a sense of direction. Purpose is unique to everyone. For some people, it is connected to vocation—meaningful, satisfying work. For others, their purpose lies in their responsibilities to their family or friends. Others seek meaning through spirituality or religious beliefs. Some people may find their purpose clearly expressed in all these aspects of life.

Your purpose can actually shift and change throughout life in response to the evolving priorities and fluctuations of your own experiences. Just like a computer that needs updating, our purpose occasionally needs to be checked in with.
